It's the only big show I haven't jumped at and whenever i have been to watch at Olympia there is such a buzz so i am really looking forward to it :)" Said Danielle

Danielle travelled to scope with a aim of qualifing "Elite K" for the "Horse&Hound Foxhunter Final" held at HOYS in October.

The 1st day there was a 1.25 warm up in the indoor and danielle and Elite K produced a slow double clear to finish 31 out of 180.

On Tuesday night it was the Foxhunter masters and Danielle was drawn at the bottom of the order, after waiting and watching horses go, the course didn't look like it was jumping well with only 3 clear rounds before Danielle entered the ring. Danielle and the 15.3h Orlando mare jumped a cracking clear round.

Four horses from this competition qualify for the final at HOYS disgarding those already qualified, unfortunately there ended up being 5 horses clear in the 1st round and all wanting the HOYS tickets.

"There was just 1 clear round in the jump off before I went in but they were quiet slow and all the others had faulted so knew I needed a clear" said Danielle.

Riding with a good deal on confidence, Danielle and Elite K produced a brilliant clear round and became the Foxhunter Masters Champion of 2011 and got the HOYS ticket they have worked so hard all summer for.

The Next day Danielle jumped "Zianula N" in the 7&8yr old HOYS qualifier where they jumped a lovely Double clear and came 3rd, unfortunately only 2 qualify but Danielle was very pleased with "Zak" as he is very inexperienced at this level.

While Elite K jumped three amazing clear rounds to finish in 3rd place in a very fast Foxhunter 2nd round, unfortunately this meant the pair missed out on HOYS by just one place but the still qualified for the Cushionbed BS Scope festival which gives them another chance to be in the HOYS Foxhunter final.

And to finish off the show "Orlof Wisbecq" jumped two great rounds in the PCA Grand Prix and came 5th, Caramelle KLT also jumped very well with a clear in the 1st round and very unlucky in the Jump off!

Day 2: Caramelle KLT jumped a super clear in the 1st round of the Area Trial and as Danielle was warming up Orlof Wisbecq a storm came and jumping had to stop for half an hour. After this both father Chris and Danielle decided the conditions were not good enough to jump "Wilf".

With only 5 going through to the jump off Danielle was first to go jumping again another great clear round on the big grey "Caramelle KLT" where they finished in 4th Place. This was the mare's first Area Trial so the team were very pleased with her.

Bramham Show:

Danielle rode Elite K in the Grade C HOYS Qual at Bramham where she put in a foot perfect performance on Jane Notons Talented 7yr old. The pair finished in 4th place which meant Danielle missed out on HOYS by just one place.

"There were 95 entered in this class and there only ended up being 12 clear round to go through to the jump off, I was 10th to go in the jump off and there was only 2 clears before me so we all decided i was going to go for a clear....so we did and the mare jumped brilliant and went into 3rd place(qualifing position) so then it was the waiting game watching the next 2 horses go in the ring, the first horse had a early fence so it was just the last one that could beat me and it did, I was very disappointed,  but still so pleased with how she jumped. Lets hope we can do one better at the next one :)" explained Danielle

Herts County:

Danielle traveled with the Williams Family to ride Elite K in the 1.25 warm up class and the Grade C HOYS Qual.

Danielle and Elite K jumped a lovely double clear to finish in 10th place in the warm up class but unfortunately had a very unlucky 4 faults in the Grade C HOYS Qual.

Moorsele 2*:

Caramelle KLT unfortunately fell ill at this show and did not jump.

Wonderland continued his form being placed the first two days of the show but having a unlucky 4 on the final day.

Orlof Wisbecq jumped great all 3 days with a low placing the 1st day in the 1.40 class and coming 4th on the final day in the 1.35 class.

Fontainbleau 2*:

Danielle traveled to a lovely show in France (Fontainbleau) where she took her 3 top horses.

Wonderland again put in a faultless performance with no fences down over the 3 days again in the 1.30/1.35 classes picking up a 7th place the 1st and 2nd day and a 4th on the last day.

Orlof Wisbecq jumped really well and Danielle feels he is getting back to hiself now and he proved this by coming 6th in the 1.4o class on the final day.

Caramelle KLT was a little spooky the 1st and 2nd day on the big grass ring but by the final show she came into her own with just 1 fence down in the big 1.50 Grand Prix.

Weston Lawns April:

Archie jumped a lovely double clear in the Discovery to take 1st spot while his brother Jako came 4th also jumping a double clear.

Zianula N performs well at 1st outing:

Zianula went to his first outing since being with Danielle and jumped great with a Double Clear in a Newcomers at Weston Lawns.

Danielle's Homebred "Archie" also went well with a Double Clear and low placing in the 1.05 class at his first outdoor show.

Telstar O jumped a great round the the A4 1.15 to finish in 2nd Place.

Moorsele 2* 25th-27th March

Danielle travelled to the show "Moorsele" in belgium for a 2* International show with horses "Orlof Wisbecq" "Caramelle KLT" and "Wonderland II"

Wonderland was the star of the show, althought not winning a class he was clear and placed every day in the 1.30/1.35 classes where there was 70 in each class. "I am really pleased with him at this show, he could'nt have gone any better and i think he learnt alot" said danielle

Orlof Wisbecq was just getting into the swing of things again after his 6months of and had a few nice performances in 1.35 classes.

Caramelle KLT is still very green at 1.45/1.50 but daniellewas really pleased with her performaces.

Danielle's Homebred's in good Form

Danielle has been concentrating on producing her hombred's (Archie and Jako) the last few weeks and they have got better and better. Last week they went to Markfield where there was a good turn out and Jako and Archie were in great form both jumping double clear in the Discovery, Jako finishing in 2nd place with Archie just below in 4th.

Breezer and Archie in good form at Markfield

Danielle took "Archie" and "Breezer" to markfield 2 weeks ago where they both jumped great.

"Archie" double clear and 2nd in the discovery and "Breezer" double clear and 3rd in the Foxhunter. Danielle is very pleased with how "Breezer" has come back to jumping so quickly after a 2 1/2  year break and a baby. Fingers crossed for the summer season.

Orlof Wisbecq Back on Form

Danielle took "Orlof Wisbecq" and "Caramelle KLT" to the Arena UK Premier Show where she jumped them both in the U23 Olympia Young Riders Qualifier.

"After I walked the big 1.50 course I wasn't expecting a lot as this was "Wilf's" 1st big ask since he's been back and "Mel" is still very green at this level"

Danielle was the pathfinder of the class on "Caramelle KLT" where the mare made a green mistake to come out the ring with only 4 jumping faults and 1 time faults. The stable star was back on top form and produced a foot perfect clear round in round 1 where there were only 2 other joining them in the jump off.

With it being grand prix rules 5 heading into the jump off (2 on 4 faults and the 3 clear rounds.)

Danielle was last to go and there was only 1 double clear, she decided that she could be quicker than the leader if she turned tighter to the double so she did, however as it was a big oxer into the double "Wilf didn't quiet make enough distance in the middle and ran out......they came round next time and jumped it and the rest of the course clear but unfortunately picked up some time faults that put them in eventual 4th place.

Danielle getting team going at winter shows

Danielle is very keen to get qualifying points for the Olympia U23 and back up the rankings to where she belongs. The big target is to qualify for the Welcome to Yorkshire A&B class with either "Wilf" or "Mel".

Danielle has been getting the older horses going over the last few weeks and early results have been very encouraging.

Danielle took Wilf - "Orlof Wisbecq" , Mel - "Caramelle KTL" and Titch - "Wonderland" to the senior show at Arena UK. Wilf was in very good order jumping double clear in both his 1.30m classes finishing 5th and 12th respectively. Danielle was delighted with this as it was his first show back in 2011. Titch was very good jumping clear and 4 on the first day and then an excellent double clear on day two in the 1.30m open class. Mel completed the excellent show with two very good efforts jumping clear and 4 on both days.

Danielle has also had Sabrina back jumping and she has competed in three shows. After coming an excellent thrid in the her first show back in the 1.15m, she has won the last two 1.15m clases she has competed in!!

Danielle's youngsters in good early season form

Danielle has been busy taking the youngsters to shows to get them some good early season experience and this is definitely reaping benefits. Archie has been going particually well as he has already jumped three double clears in British Novice Classes and two double clears in British Discovery Classes coming in the first three in each of these classes!

Danielle is also riding a horse called Elite K for Jane Noton and Mark Williams. Danielle rode this nice mare at Vale View last week coming 2nd in both the 1.15m and 1.20 classes. Danielle is looking forward to riding this mare again at shows.

Danielle looking forward to 2011

With Danielle having some bad luck with injury to her top horses at the back end of 2010, Danielle is really looking forward to getting back to top form in 2011. Orlof Wisbecq - 'Wilf' is now back fully mended, Caramelle KTL has been going really well at the back end of 2010 and Wonderland has improved all year and Danielle will be having a real go in the Foxhunters 2nd rounds contests with this talented mare. This together with new arrival Zianula, a Carol Smith owned 7yr old who already been jumping 1.20m in Holland, hopefully all adds up to an exciting year for Danielle.
