Danielle in good form at weston lawns
Danielle was in good form at the Weston Laws Equestrian Centre with a string of nice performances.
Wonderland, who is really starting to show some nice form recently, took part in the Foxhunter second round and was foot perfect except for an unfortunate foot in the water. This inexperienced horse is now stepping up and has looked at home over the bigger obstacles. Although finishing with one pole, Danielle will have another two attempts to try and qualify for this years Foxhunter final. Wonderland has jumped all his double clears in Foxhunters contest for the 2011 Foxhunter second round!!.
Telstar was also competing in the Foxhunter 2nd round, and after a very impressive clear in the first rounds, Danielle and Telstar had a very luckly pole in the second round. This talented horse is really starting to improve and Danielle is very hopeful that he will pick up a nice class win soon.
Danielle was also competing on her new ride Bohemiem Business aka "Buster", who is owned by Jake Elliott. This 16h 9yr old stallion looks a nice prospect and easily jumped double clear in the Foxhunter 1st round class. Danielle will now spend the next few weeks assessing her new charge and planning out a summer campaign for him.

With the string now in excellent form, Danielle and Wonderland put together two excellent performances at the East of England show finishing second in the Foxhunter contest after an eye catching double clear and then stepping up to finish a very good fifth in the Grade C contest. This talented grey gelding is improving all the time and has all the potential to become a really good horse and Danielle has high hopes for a good summer season for this son of Corland. Orlof Wisbecq "Wilf" has been in good form recently and carried this through to this show jumping double clear for a fine victory in the 1.35m Open class. Danielle and "Wilf" looked very sharp from the start and it was a fine victory in what was a very competitive class.
Danielle and "Wilf" moved on to the Lincoln County show straight after the East of England and both were in top class form resulting in Danielle winning the shows leading rider award.
Danielle and "Wilf" started with a nice warm up class jumping double clear in the 1.30m contest to finish in a good second place. "Wilf's" next effort was a good 5th place in the accumulator class but both Danielle and "Wilf" saved their best performances for the biggest classes of the show.
The Evening Stakes was the main class on the Wednesday and a big and technical 1.50m track was set by the course designer. It was evident from the first few jumps that Danielle and "Wilf" were up to the challenge and produced a top class double clear to finish in 4th place. This was probably "Wilf's" best performance of the year and he does look back to his very best.
Building on their excellent performance on the previous day, Danielle and "Wilf" produced another top class effort in the following days big class the Lincolnshire Area Trail this time jumping double clear to finish in 5th place. With a string of excellent performances throughout the show this gave Danielle enough points to deservedly win the leading rider of the show award.
Danielle also had some good news about her broad mare Sabrina who had her first foal a bay colt.
Danielle continues good form going into summer shows
Although things didn't quite go as planned for Danielle and Orlof Wisbecq in the trials at Wales & West, Danielle got a really nice surprise when she stepped up Caramelle KTL to the Nations cup class having only 4 faults to finish an excellent 6th place. This was a super effort from this fast improving 10yrs old mare and Danielle was delighted with the way she coped. Caramelle KTL also put in another good effort in the 1.30m class finishing a fine 6th place, also in the same class Danielle jumped Telstar who was in really good form jumping double clear to finish one place infront of his stable mate in 5th place. Danielle feels Telstar is another who is becoming consistent at this level and she hopes for a successful summer season for this 9yr old gelding.
Danielle and Orlof Wisbecq were back in action a week later at Arena UK and came away with a fine victory, jumping double clear to win the 1.30m class. This was a nice come back after having no luck in the trials at Wales & West. Danielle quickly made it into the winners enclosure for the second time with a fine win on the in form Telstar in the 1.25m open class.
Moving on to the Weston Lawns show Danielle and 'Wilf' put in some fine performances jumping double clear to finish 5th in the 1.30m Open class and then produced an excellent double clear to finish 3rd in the Grand PRIX. Danielle is really hopeful 'Wilf' will have a successful summer and win some nice classes. The very talented 7yr old grey gelding Wonderland was also in good form at the show, winning the 1.20m class in fine style. Danielle will be stepping up this nice young horse this summer and has some high hopes for this talented 7yr old.
Danielle in good form at the British Open
Danielle continued her build-up for the European showing trials with two excellent performances on Orlaf Wisbecq at the British Open event at the NEC in Birmingham. After a a very good clear and 4 in the Young Riders Pathfinder class, Danielle and 'Wilf" were even better in the final finishing an excellent 5th place. Hopefully Danielle can carry on this good form and she is confident she can be competitive at the European trials.
Danielle back from US and planning summer campaign
Danielle has arrived back from her US trip where she gained invaluable experience and is now planning her summer campaign.
Danielle took Orlaf Wisbecq, Telstar and Wonderland to her first show back after her extended trip to the US and had some excellent results. After Wonderland jumped a very nice double clear in the Foxhunter contest, Danielle and Telstar produced a very classy double clear to finish a fine third. Telstar has always showed a good deal of potential and if this nice horse can getting a full season of jumping behind him it could be a very good season for this talented gelding. Stable star Orlaf Wisbecq completed a very good day for Danielle with an excellent 4th place in the big 1.40m class. Danielle is getting "Wilf" ready for the European trials at the end of April and will be training with Tim Stockdale the week before the show. Danielle completed the show at the Hand with further good results including another double clear for Wonderland and a good 6th in the Young Riders contest qualifying for the British Open.
Unfortunately Danielle had some sad news about her broad mare "Echo" who twinned over a month early and lost both her foals. Fortunately "Echo" survived this ordeal and Danielle with give her a nice rest before putting her back in foal. Danielle's other broad mare Breezer is very big now and due to give foal in early May. Caramelle KLT has been off with stomach ulcers the last two months but they have been successfully treated and is now up and running and Danielle hopes to be bring this talented horse back very soon.

Some 2010 Winters Images at Home
Danielle finishes 2009 in positive fashion
Danielle finished 2009 with another solid performance after both Wonderland and Telstar were placed at Markfield. It was particularly pleasing to see Wonderland back in the winner enclosure after a year in which he grew a substantial amount forcing Danielle to give him an easy year to physically develop. After a victory in the 1.15 at Markfield, Wonderland finished 2009 with 2nd place in the Blue Chip qualifier. Telstar is another of Danielle's string that has had a difficult 2009, picking up a virus early in the year Telstar has had plenty of time to recover and has now come back much stronger as his 2nd in the Foxhunter contest and then an excellent victory in the Blue Chip qualifier at Markfield clearly show.
Danielle has also been doing alot of squad practice on the world class training sessions and has found it hugely beneficial to both her and the horses, and she is very confident of having an excellent 2010.
Danielle's young horses again in good form
Danielle took three of her string to the Arena UK meeting in the last week of September and had some very encouraging results. Telstar, who has been off for a while, jumped a very nice double clear in his warm up class and then proceeded to jump an eye catching double clear in the Foxhunter class. Danielle is looking forward to the winter shows with Telstar who has always shown a good level of talent.
Caramelle KTL was also in excellent form jumping two double clears in the Foxhunter contest's, this coming straight after a double clear in the Solihull Grade C Winter qualifier. Even though things did not go right in the HOYS 2009 Newcomers class for Caramelle KTL, this lovely young horse has made great strides this year and is a very exciting prospect.
Orlof Wisbecq was also in good form at Arena UK , jumping very well to finish in 8th place in the Young Riders qualifiers.
Team remain in good form going into Autumn
As the summer outdoor season comes to a close, Danielle and her team remain in very good form going into the autumn. Orlof Wisbecq has been very busy the last few weeks with some excellent performances. At the Arena UK summer Premier show Danielle and 'Wilf' produced two strong performances coming 5th in a strong 1.40m open and 5th in the ultra competitive PCA Grand PRIX. Two weeks later at the Westerm Lawns equestrian center Danielle and 'Wilf' took part in a team competition and produced two impressive clear rounds of showjumping to help the team obtain a very good third place.
The scope festival, at an extremely wet Staffordshire Show Ground, was very competitive as usual. Danille jumped 'Wilf' in the Under 21 qualifier on the second day of this marathon seven day show and was impressive jumping clear to finish in 4th place to secure a place in the final. The Grants Veterinary Services Under U21 Final was looking good for Danielle after 'Wilf' jumped another double clear, but Danielle was piped at the post and had to settle for 3rd place. Danielle also jumped her fast improving and impressive Caramelle KTL in the Foxhunters masters competition and after putting in a flawless display of jumping over the first thirteen fence Caramelle KTL had an extremely unlucky four faults at the very last fence. This young horse has improved leaps and bounds this summer and Danielle is very hopeful this really nice grey mare will have an excellent autumn/winter campaign and continue to improve.
Danielle qualifies for 2009 HOYS
Danielle continued her great form at the South View Equestrian Center with a top class performance on her inform Caramelle KTL to qualify for the 2009 Horse of the Year Newcomers Championship final. After a very smooth clear in the first round, in what was a very competitive class, Danielle and Karamelle KTL were great in the jump and quickly took the lead. With one to go it looked like Danielle would win the class but she was just pipped by Anthony Condon finishing the class in second place but securing the qualifying place for HOYS. "I've never really pressed Caramelle against the clock" said Danielle "She's been in such good form recently I decided it was time to get going and she was fantastic" added a delighted Danielle.
Danielle also jumped Orlof Wisbecq in the 1.40m National Open and 'Wilf' again put in a very solid performance finishing in a good 8th place. Caramelle KTL was again in action in the Foxhunter 2nd round and performed with great credit going clear in the first round and then just having an unlucky pole in the 2nd round.
Danielle victorious at Market Bosworth
After weeks of excellent performances, Danielle and Orlof Wisbecq were victorious in the big 1.45m class at the Market Bosworth show this weekend - July 4th/5th. Danielle and 'Wilf' have been looking increasing likely to win a very nice class and it all came together at the Market Bosworth show.
Having jumped clear in the 1.30m warm up class, Danielle and 'Wilf' were not accepting second best in the big class as they put in two super rounds of jumping to collect the £700 first prize, a very well deserved success for the consistency both have shown in recent weeks.
Danielle and Caramelle KTL in great form
Danielle and her fast improving Caramelle KTL came very close to qualifying for the Foxthunter Championship at HOYS this year with a very impressive effort in the 2nd round qualifier at Westen Lawns Equestrian centre last weekend. After having a very unfortunate pole in the 2nd round of the Newcomers, Danielle and Caramelle KTL took on the bigger fences in the Foxhunter 2nd round and both put in a fantastic effort to finish in 5th place after jumping triple clear. This fast improving grey mare (picture is of wall in third round) has put in some eye catching performances of late and is really looking an exciting prospect for the rest of the year.
Danielle also brought Orlof Wisbecq to Western Lawns and he was his usual consistent self putting in a very good effort to finish in 6th place in the PCA Grand PRIX. 'Wilf' has been jumping well for a while, and it seems to be only a matter of time before he wins a very nice class.
Danielle continues her fine form
Danielle has continued in excellent form during May and June with some very good results, especially from her very promising Caramelle KTL. "
Mel" has been very busy the last two months and this talent Dapple Grey mare started May with an excellent 2nd place in the Foxhunter first round at Arena UK. Danielle then brought her over to the Wisbecq CSI** show in Belgium to give her some International experience and she performed with great credit finishing an excellent 5th in the 1.25m International open and finishing the show with a good 8th in the 1.30m International open.
Back abroad again in June, at the Reims Young Rider show, Caramelle KTL continued to impress with an excellent 6th place in the 1.35m Open event. Danielle and "Mel" brought their good form back to the UK jumping double clear in both the 1.25m and 1.30m contests at the Hand Equestrian Center.
With the Foxhunter and Newcomers 2nd round events Caramelle KTL's main targets for 2009, Danielle jumped her at the East of England show in Peterborough and was very unlucky to finish in 13th place in the 2nd round of the Newcomers, this after winning the Foxhunter contest earlier in the show. Danielle remains very confident that Caramelle KTL will make up into a very nice horse and will be competing in more 2nd rounds events with her during July.
Danielle's stable star Orlof Wisbecq has also been in excellent form and has been busy since his class performance at Wales & West. At the Wisbecq CSI** International meeting "Wilf" was in super form with a very impressive double clear to finish in 5th place in the 1.45m International Open and then followed that up with an even more impressive placing in the 1.50m Grand PRIX finishing 8th in a very strong field over a big and technical track. Back in the UK, 'Wilf" continues in good form with an unlucky four faults in the PCA Grand Prix at the Hand Equestrian Centre. Danielle then took her star to the East of England Show and 'Wilf' was desperately unlucky in the Area Trial, throwing a shoe in the middle of a combination 'Wilf' lost his stride and Danielle had to run out and take a circle. 'Wilf' and Danielle were clear to that point, and remained clear the rest of the way, and with only three clears if was a very unfortunate thing to happen. Danielle finished the show with 'Wilf' coming an excellent 4th in the 1.30m open. Danielle will be hoping 'Wilf' maintains his form over the next few weeks as they will be competing at Weston Lawns, Castle Ashby and Bosworth over the next few weeks.
Danielle picked for Tretorn Squad
Danielle continued her excellent form this year with some very impressive jumping at the European Viewing trials at the Wales & West equestrian center.
Over what was a big and technical track for the European qualifier classes, Danielle and Orlaf Wisbecq took the big fences in their stride jumping double clear to finish equal first. Danielle has consistently proved that she can compete at this level and she is very determined to try to get on the team this year. Her impressive performances have now earned her a place on the Young Riders Tretorn International squad and Danielle will be working very hard over the next six weeks to try and secure a place on the team.
In the Grand PRIX Danielle and 'Wilf' again jumped very well having a very unlucky pole to finish on four faults finally finishing in 12th place. Danielle will now be going to Newark & Notts and other big county shows over the next few weeks in an effort to secure a place on the International Young Riders team.
Danielle has good start to 2009
Danielle has had a very encouraging start to 2009 with a string of good results.
With Danielle determined to keep the horses fresh for a spring/summer campaign she has targeted the BSJA Senior Premier shows to get the horses up an running.
One of Danielle's key targets for 2009 is the big young riders events and she started the year with an excellent third on Orlof Wisbecq in the BEF Young Riders qualifiers at the South View Equestrian Center. 'Wilf' looks as good as ever and still has the look of an improving horse.
Danielle and 'Wilf' were equally successful at the Addington Manor Premier Show BEF Young Riders class again jumping very well to finish an excellent seventh. With the last two Young Riders results this should ensure Danielle's qualification for the final of this event.
Danielle took three horses to the second day of the Arena UK Premier show in the last week of February. With Orlof Wisbecq in such good form, Danielle decided to jump him in the big 1.40m National Open class and the decision turned out to be the correct one with an excellent double clear to finish 4th in what was a very competitive class.
Danielle also brought two of her younger horses to start them off for the season. The very promising Wonderland jumped very well and this talented gelding should have a very good 2009. Caramelle KLT also jumped in the SPORT HORSE CLASSIC BLUE RIBBON CHAMPIONSHIP class and was very impressive jumping double clear to finish an excellent seventh.
Over the next two months Danielle will be looking to get the whole string going and is confident of have a good 2009.
Danielle performs with great credit at 2008 HOYS
Danielle just failed in her quest to win the Young Riders Championship of Great Britain at the 2008 Horse of the Year show in the NEC Birmingham
Danielle, riding Orlof Wisbecq,
jumped a superb clear in the first round to be
only one of six in the jump-off over what was a
very technical and big track set by the
International track designer. Danielle started
off the jump-off in very determined mood and
having flown the big oxar in the middle of the
arena galloped down to the second last up on
the clock, unfortunately Danielle and "Wilf"
could not quite make the turn and even though
Danielle came back and jumped the last two
fences her chance had gone and had to settle
for an excellent sixth place. Obviously
disappointed, Danielle will no doubt be back
for another crack at the Championship next
year.
Danielle named reserve for 2008 Great Britain Junior European Team
Danielle just missed out on a place in the 2008 Junior European Team to be held in Prague, Czech Republic later in July. Danielle's recent form has been excellent, and her recent third in the Wierden Grand PRIX opened a few eyes and nearly secured her a place on the team. It was a great effort to get so close, but Danielle will be standing by if needed and was very pleased to get so close. However, with Olaf Wisbecq back on form Danielle is look forward to the rest of the summer and hopes to have some good results with her stable star.
Danielle third in Junior Grand Prix in Wierden
After a quiet opening to the year, Danielle is starting to get the horses going for the summer shows. With her lead horse Olaf Wisbecq now back in action, Danielle was part of the GBR Team to compete in the Junior Nations Cup in Wierden last weekend, and just like last year, Danielle has started to give a nudge to the selectors of the European Junior Championship Squad (CHZ - July 2008) with a super display jumping double clear to finish third in the Junior Grand PRIX in Wierden .
Just missing out on the team last year Danielle hopes to give the selectors another headache as she has been selected for the GBR Junior squad jumping in Hargen (GER) next week.
